Leather = absorbent, rubber = shock-absorbing and provides stability.  
The shock-absorbing leather heel cushion relieves the heels and prevents pain in the heels, knees, and hips.  
It is made of soft natural leather for high moisture absorption, and a soft latex cushion.  
The adhesive keeps the heel in place.
